This post starts a new series of posts about the equipment that I use for working out. As you guessed this one is about the workout gloves. Why do you need to have gloves? Well, that is very simple – when you workout you obviously sweat a lot. If you sweat as much as I do then to be able to maintain a good grip on your dumb bells and pull up bar you need a pair of gloves that will help you with this problem. They also help prevent development of calluses on your palms (something that ladies might consider).
For the last few years I was using the same brand and the same model – Harbinger 143 Men’s Pro FlexClosure Wash & Dry Gloves. I probably went through five or six pairs of them and clearly I like them a lot.I usually buy them on Amazon but you can also find them in your local sporting goods store.
This is the product description that you can find on Amazon.com:
Specially designed for men, this pair of Harbinger Pro gloves is ideal for all-purpose training and frequent weightlifting. The gloves are distinguished by their stretch “ventilator mesh” construction, which lets the hand and fingers bend naturally while staying cool, along with the abrasion-resistant leather on the palm, which maximizes glove wear. The gloves stay secure and snug, meanwhile, thanks to the adjustable wrist closures. And lifters will love the short finger length, which reduces unwanted bulk. Perhaps the best feature, however, is the easy-to-clean fabric, which is 100-percent machine washable and dryable. Also outfitted with wrap-around thumb cushions, the gloves are available in natural and black colors.
I would have to add that these gloves are very comfortable and it is really easy to put them on as well as to take them off your hands once you finished your workout. This is really important to me because I hate when I have to spend 10 minutes trying to take off the gloves once I am done with my workout.
