First, let’s talk about why you might need a coach or perhaps a better way to put it – a workout partner.
I want to be completely honest with you – strictly speaking you don’t need a coach to follow a program like P90X. Yes, that is true, you don’t need a coach to workout at home and follow the guidelines of the program. If you feel like you have enough fire in you, your willpower is stronger than ever, you know exactly what you are doing and can made a strong commitment to the program, then you can stop reading this and go do something else more useful or enjoyable.
Ok, you are still reading! I guess that means that you might be a little unsure about how to go about this whole P90X program (or any other home workout program from Beachbody to that matter). Well, then perhaps you do need a coach (although I would probably prefer another term – something like a helper or a partner). You probably need someone who can help you and guide you through this challenging and demanding process.
Working out with a coach is very much like traveling with a tour guide when you go to Europe on vacation. Yes, of course, you can simply go sightseeing around different historic places, read up about them on-line, etc. However, think about how much more you could be getting out of this tour if you had a guide who could tell you interesting stories related to these places, the history behind them, local fairy tales, that only people living in the area know about.
But how do you know who you should pick? Who will be the right coach for you?
Believe it or not, someone who completed the entire P90X program and can demonstrate proven results would be a lot more valuable to you as a coach (at this time) than someone who was training professional athletes for many years. And the reason is very simple – professional athletes are facing completely different challenges, have different goals and expectations set for them by their coaches. They are aiming to change their performance from great to even better, trying to make 5-10% gains. They are going for marginal improvements to shave off an extra tenths of a second, increase the height of their jump by one inch, etc. They have nutrition consultants, trainers, medical staff, and many other things that normal people like you and I don’t have access to. Training is all they do. This is their job. They are not trying to lose 50 pounds of fat and get back in shape – they are already in an unbelievable shape.
The second big reason why you could benefit from having a coach around is to be able ask questions about your goals, your progress, challenges you facing, share your concerns and receive this little motivational boost that will keep you going when your body is ready to give it up. You need to have someone who you can trust, who has done this before and truly understands what you are going through.
Why do you want to pick me as your Beachbody coach? Because I have done it. I was able to accomplish my goals with P90X. Not only I was able to drop extra weight, I did it while recovering from a really bad knee injury which made this process a lot more complicated for me. I know how to do it, have done it myself and I can help you.
If you are willing to give it all you’ve got and work hard towards your goal then go ahead and join my team. It is really easy and only take a few minutes and you will be on your way to your fitness goal.
I can’t promise you that it will be easy, but I can promise you that it will be worth it!
